Welcome to the site - it is updated fairly regularly, so bookmark it and check it often. Congratulations to the Chinook Jazz Band #1 who were awarded 3rd Place at the Mt. Hood Community College Jazz Festival on May 5, 2012. We just had our Ninth Annual 5th Grade Band Inviational. The kids played great - check the Audio Clips page to listen. The Bellevue School District Solo and Ensemble Festival will be Saturday, May 12 at Chinook. We still need some student or parent helpers to help with hosting. Please email Mr. Mahaffey or sign-up in the band room for an AM or PM shift. Thank you! Want to see videos of the Chinook Bands? Here is a list of some groups that perform in our area: Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra A great local resource for Music Ensembles and Lessons is MusicWorks Northwest. In addition to offering lessons and ensembles, they also have regular concerts. Here's a nice music history site about Beethoven, sent to me by some students who liked the Chinook Band Page.
